We grow.

This (forever?) in progress illustration is still slowly changing over the years as I'm growing and learning.
Somehow, I like the idea of an image that changes constantly towards improvement, like a real conscious being...

Or then again, maybe I'm just trying to justify my colossal procrastination, which is less poetic.

A passion for self-contradiction.

Just a few minutes earlier, I wrote down my wish to finish a drawing.
And then it happened.

Time to pull myself together.

I'm just trying to get back on track by relaxing and trying to do something for myself once in a while.

I realize I haven't been keeping my blog up to date lately and that goes without saying that a feeling of guilt and sense of lack of accomplishment have been lurking on my mind ever since.

So yeah; time to get back and get my motivation back as well.

Loosaur

Our special effects assignment at school.
We were a team of 5 students and had 3 weeks to do this.
Although I really wish I could have done a better job on my part, working with such a team was a great experience!
Even if our tastes didn't really match at first, I believe everyone worked with a great mindset on it and I'm lucky to have been surrounded by such hard-working classmates.
I hope to learn from this so that I can do better within my new team for Annecy's shorts that we're currently working on.

I kind of lost the latest .PSD of this file (AZERTY keyboards are tricky!)  due to a stupid typing mistake the S key was right below the Z key.

I'll start working on it again as soon as I get some spare time.
It was for a small personal animation test anyways.

This was a lipsynch assignment we had to do at Gobelins.
Although there is still so much to improve (sigh!), it's been a great experience and I enjoyed the process, it was fun!

Also, what made this experience so interesting is how much the feedback I was lucky to receive from my fellow classmates helped me improve so many things.
I'm so thankful and also, I'm more than convinced that what makes being at Gobelins such a great experience is being surrounded by and interacting with hard-working and talented people!

I still have so much left to learn, but thanks for your interest and support so far!

Fighting for your rights.

This scribble sort of happened as I was thinking about the situation in Tunisia
and how little regard is given to the rights of both women and individuals who seek freedom.
